Buffalo Bills Rebound After Week 1 Loss

After a disappointing loss against the New England Patriots during week 1 that essentially gave away what appeared to be a locked up win, the Buffalo Bills rebounded nicely with a 33-20 week 2 win over the visiting Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bills improved to 1-1 for the season with this win.

Trent Edwards looked polished and composed as the team's quarterback, and seems to be more of a legitimate, reliable option with each passing week. Having thrown for 230 yards with 21 completions in 31 attempts, his 2 TD passes on just one interception were enough to win the Bills the football game.

Additionally, he made use of new wide receiver Terrell Owens, who caught three passes for 51 yards, which included the likes of a touchdown reception. While Lee Evans only had one catch on the day, this was also a touchdown grab, and it's clear that the two powerful wide receivers make the Bills' offense a potent one.

Edwards also made use of wide receiver Schouman, whose 6 catches and 62 yards were both team highs. As far as the running game goes, running back Fred Jackson did a tremendous job filling the void left by Marshawn Lynch (currently serving a suspension) with 163 yards in 28 attempts, averaging 5.8 yards per carry. You have to wonder how the carries will be split once Lynch returns.

Things are looking up in Buffalo. With the Patriots having nearly lost to the Bills in week 1 and losing to the Jets in week 2, this is really starting to look like anyone's division to win.
